Brejo Fundeiro

Brejo Fundeiro is a one hundred year old, 3-storey manor house set in its own valley in a very quiet area of central Portugal that is an ideal location for a yoga retreat with the lake of Castelo de Bode nearby.

Brejo Fundeiro has been lovingly restored by its owners who have been able to keep many of its original features intact. It has a swimming pool, a yoga studio, a barbecue area, a fruit orchard and an impressive vegetable garden in its grounds. A courtyard surrounded by Lime trees and Bougainvillea provides a pleasant shady area for hot afternoons.

The swimming pool uses a salt water electrolysis cell system which results in very low levels of salt and chlorine.

Food is lovingly prepared by your hosts, primarily from the organic vegetable garden in the grounds and can be eaten together in the inside dining area or in the courtyard. The house has many interesting features both inside and out.

Accommodation

There are a variety of bedroom types at Brejo Fundeiro - there are twin rooms and triple rooms, most have balconies and all except one are en-suite. Each room is individually styled with different colour schemes and with features such as wood panelled ceiling, wooden shutters, chandeliers and wooden floors. There are different prices for different types of room.

Yoga Space

A spacious yoga studio is also set in the grounds. With stone walls, a wooden floor and a high beamed, wooden ceiling, it is a practical and welcoming place to gather for practice.
